Bart Pogoda

Bartek Pogoda is one hell of a photographer from Poland, his work reflects an almost surgical precision and attention to detail, ranging from the vertigo-inducing views on Table Mountain, in Cape Town (South Africa) to the enigmatic shapes of Nazca in Peru, right from the air.

I want to be like him when I grow up...

Reuters: Bearing Witness

Iraq is currently the most dangerous location on the planet for photojournalism, and one thing I've always admired about Reuters is their powerful collection of images from the eye of the hurricane by truly hardcore photojournalists, filmmakers and their crews.

Regardless of your political views, this feature is a tribute to them and an insider's view at 5 years of a war that might seem distant to many of us but is quite real, crude and brutal. History in the making.

Boris Hoppek in Copenhagen

Boris Hoppek La Primavera

"I think 'La Primavera' its a good title for an exhibition, but as an excuse to have lots of naughty drawings to show. Let me make this clear. Yes, I made the c.m.o.n.s. for Opel, sorry. I don't have a text about the exhibition. First because i am bad with writing and second because I don't explain my work, well I just explain that I don't explain it. Why I don't explain stands for the concept of not explaining. could be - a) I use it as an excuse to cover up first that I am bad with writing or - b) my work has nothing that has to be explained, or - c) it has something, but I don't want to explain just a small part of it not to mention all the subliminal elements and interpretation variations I don't know of. Whatever, let's say its all together. Hey we should use this as the text for the press!! Then the journalists don't have to write it themselves." - Boris Hoppek
