Biography:

I am a dedicated Illustrator/character designer specialized in vectors. Character design has become my passion, as it allows me to create dreamworlds where everybody is welcome to jump in. i really find this extremely fascinating, this journey in this utterly whimsical sphere enables me to become a kid again and observe ordinary things through the lens of a dream telescope. I draw inspiration from everything that surrounds me, people I see on the street, colours, music, video games, clouds hanging up in the sky, rainbows, mythology. I believe that anything that draws my attention in life, be it a song or a stain on a wall, has a great potential to inspire my next piece.
My artwork celebrates bold forms, dynamic compositions as well as the use of often subdued tonal varietes of colours, resulting to a dream-like, enganging image oozing with ambience. Apart from the imagery, my artwork finds great support in the narrative of each piece where little stories give an insight and create a strong bond between the viewer and the characters.

For me, Character Design and Illustration is an attempt to make people feel welcome and dream about things they never thought of before.

According to reliable sources, the man behind "weirdink" is an illustration enthusiast who spends a lot of time developing top secret inventions like the IDSLT (invisible direct select lasso tool), used to capture vector cows and bulls. He has never used the column graph tool in his life, and neither he plans to. His favourite software is Caffeine OSX, Rollies Pro and Adobe Illustrator. He used to be a Photoshop buff, but he know thinks that vectors look "damn sweet". He can roll up a cigarette while pressing shift+alt+command+s. He likes being in a dark room, making up stories about Sacred Squid Kings and Evil Fireproof Marshmallows. When he grows up, he wants to be a zombie. When not making up stories and doodling, he likes to make up some stories and doodle a bit. In the Army, he was a M60 A3 tank gunner. He is currently working as a barrista. He is a master of using the "Mess Tool", as he can clean up his room but it gets messy again as soon as he walks back in.
