CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS - Iniciativa Colectiva

Hi Everyone!

My name is Nicole and I am the Creative Director for Iniciativa Colectiva, an online magazine for artists, by artists.

Please check out the website as we are approaching the deadline for the March issue this February 20th.

Submissions are now open for all in the disciplines of digital art, illustration, fine arts, fashion, graphic design, photography and anything that may tickle your fancy.

Take a look at our previous issues to see the kind of work we are looking for.

Iniciativa Colectiva started just last year and we are a growing publication. We want to showcase the best of the best within all fields of design and photography.

We are working toward organizing an exhibition at Miami's Design District with the year's best pices submitted to the magazine and before doing anything we will ask the artists who are chosen to participate and if chosen, to send either a print of their work, if possible.
If not, we will print the piece at a low price but hope to get sponsors to cover the printings.

Also, we are researching to have the magazine published in a book form so we can have the magazine as a hardcopy for people to buy soon.

Again, the magazine is solely to showcase the artists work so all copyrights will remain with the artist. We hope this event will generate a buzz and a following as well as generate a buzz with the artists chosen.

Hello cpluv! my new home!

My first post. I am excited about my new home :)

I'm Nicole 1/2 of Chixink, a T-Shirt company I run with my best friend Ana.
We do all kinds of projects, including logos, identity, branding and Marketing through Chixink Media Services.

We also have an online publication named:
Iniciativa Colectiva, which is a collective for artists, by artists.

This is an exciting year! Chixink is going on it's first year and we are very happy to announce that we have completed many projects and we are gaining momentum as the year begins to continue to grow and learn new things about this great career we have chosen: Design.

And what a broad discipline it has become! I myself am trained both as an architect and a graphic designer but my love lies in graphic design completely.

This year I have submitted work to some publications and am happy to say the response has been very positive.

I sent some work in to Instant Graphics, a Rotovision publication which will come out in October and I am waiting for the final shortlist but searching through Amazon, I noticed they put up a mock up of the cover of the book (don't know if it's the final version yet) and I'm on it!! Can you believe it!!

The image you see above is the one featured in Instant Graphics and it is also the Featured Artist Design from Maxtango, a free ecard distribution site, check it out!

well, I'll keep you guys updated on what will happen next and I can't wait to get comfortable here, I loooove it!!
