Here in the year 2006 I have started to develop a new enterprise – if you’ve already heard, then perhaps you should not be too surprised by this theme. KHAKI uses the most common identity, yet most uncommon concept of function. It uses the most natural and interesting method of packaging. We are not the most formal attire, clothing only brought out for the specialist of occasions; we are made of KHAKI, a material in the most ordinary of circumstances gives you a most comfortable and practical feeling of freedom.

Khaki Kit

Khaki Creative & Design is a Beijing-based creative team that specializes in supporting companies to successfully establish their brands both within and beyond the China market. To further solidify its current position in China’s design realm, Khaki has given its own branding image a complete makeover, using visual motifs that have dominated propagandistic imagery of Western and Asian countries. This reflects the enduring, bold, and powerful imagery that Khaki wants to show to the world.
As part of its new branding, for the holiday season of 2008-2009, Khaki has developed a self-help kit of products and services to appeal to those in need of assistance with marketing and branding. Using elements that pervaded Shanghai’s visual landscape during the 1930s, Khaki created nine different postcard-sized advertisements for the following products, aptly named “The Branding Guru Presents: Nine Products and Services that will Boost your Business to Higher Echelons of Success!”
1. Whitie Toothpaste
2. Super Money Patch
3. Strident Voice-Magnifying Capsules
4. Times Memorial Hospital
5. Heihachi Fujita, a licensed Ninja under Ninja Infiltration Consultants, Inc.
6. Boosta-Seltzer
7. Mother’s Cookies of Wisdom
8. Robo-Express Service (REX)
9. Superclone HR Services
Each of these nine will help individuals and companies cure their marketing and branding problems. For example, the Whitie Toothpaste allows its users to become super salespersons who are masters of the art of persuasion, Times Memorial Hospital cures Idea Deprivation Sickness, Heihachi Fujita can help to gather top-secret intelligence on business competitors, and Superclone HR Services redefines what it means to multitask.
The caveat of The Branding Guru’s kit is simple: anybody would be hard pressed to find these products and services at the local supermarket or even via Google. The alternative and better solution to marketing and branding problems is to give Khaki a call and let them take care of the rest.
