Hiring: Web Designer
Company: Alienware Location: Miami, United States
Description: Responsible for general day-to-day maintenance of Alienware websites (60% coding, 40% design). Candidate must be highly motivated and willing to take initiative on a regular basis. Must have the ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects and meeting strict deadlines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned:
- Reports to Senior or Director Level.
- Strong knowledge of X/HTML and CSS.
- Creates properly semantic table-less page templates using X/HTML and CSS
- Experience with image editing, creation, and optimization in Photoshop.
- Expert knowledge in Web Standards and Cross-Browser Compatibility.
- Understanding of Information Architecture and Usability Concerns
- Coordinates with cross-functional teams to fulfill web projects needs.
- Remains up to date on latest browser and plug-in technology.
- Experience with Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and Macromedia Flash Actionscripting 2.0.

- Bachelor's Fine Arts Degree (BFA) and 3+ years of online design experience.
- Working in an E-commerce environment or customer focused websites is a plus.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Project and production management skills
- Ability to work well within a team environment and under pressure of deadlines.
- Must show proven design skills.
- Expert knowledge of Photoshop, ImageReady, Dreamweaver and Flash.
- Experience with Javascript, .NET, and XML is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to think strategically as well as creatively.
- Thrives in a multi-tasking environment.
